Diversity Leadership Program (DLP)

 

Course Overview

The Leadership Challenge Program – Level I: Diversity Leadership (LCP-I: DL) is a comprehensive process of enhancing the individual’s Self Awareness to Lead Effectively through Diversity and Resilience challenges. The LCP-I: DL uses a hybrid methodology of facilitated discussions, assessment based and experiential learning with alignment towards national and state strategy and mission.

The LCP-I: DL is flexible and adaptable to analyze the cultural challenges that can hinder organizational effectiveness.

Participants collectively address unique cultural issues in their organization with tactics and techniques to remove barriers and span boundaries for continued success long after the completion of the program. Specifically, group discussions are targeted to address challenges and opportunities associated with diversity, resilience and gender in the work environment.

Objectives

  • Working through the boundaries that exist in organizations
  • Harnessing the diverse strengths of leaders in blended/merged teams
  • Bringing out issues; and through self-awareness and a better understanding of others, work toward progressive resolutions

Self-Assessment Tools:

Participants complete five credentialed assessments prior to and during class. The results will be introduced during key segments of the course to provide personal insight on how each individual is unique and how we apply our distinctiveness to multiple leadership development applications.
