Chris is Director of the Leadership Foundry. For over 35 years, Chris served in the Air National Guard/US Air Force. In 2012, Chris retired as the tenth Command Chief Master Sergeant of the Air National Guard, Pentagon, Washington, DC. Chris was responsible for the interest and proper utilization of 94,000 personnel, he advised the leader of a $9B annual organization. His career has taken him to every state in the union and over 30 countries. In 2001-2002, he served with US Air Force in Europe for management of command, control and communications assets for Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan), and in 2003 in the Combined Air Operations Center, Saudi Arabia for the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dr. Melissa Faulkner is a Senior Instructor and Technical Writer for Leadership Foundry. Melissa spent over 20 years in higher education as a tenured professor, Department Chair, and Director of Tutoring and Learning Services, as well as initiating and directing a variety of programs and initiatives. She has received many awards and grants including a Faculty Excellence in Teaching award from the Higher Learning Commission and a Teagle Foundation grant. Dr. Faulkner has published a variety of articles and presented at conferences across North America. She also has a keen interest in mindfulness and health, holding certifications as a trauma informed yoga instructor, meditation coach, and social and emotional learning facilitator.

In 2018, he retired as a Chief Master Sergeant as the Commandant, United States Air Force First Sergeant Academy. Danny was responsible for the training and development of Air Force First Sergeants through a blended facilitated distance learning and in-residence program of instruction. Additionally, he was responsible for the development and validation of the course curriculum, to include the materials used to train additional duty First Sergeants throughout the active duty, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve components. He brings over 27 years of senior leadership with experience primarily leading and coaching at all levels. He has extensive background in human resources management, educational development, training and education, and call centers.
